Happy Monday! Can you believe it's February already? No? Me neither. I can tell that 2013 is going to fly by and it's going to be 2014 before I know it. January was crazy. I felt like I was constantly unpacking and washing clothes and finding places for things - probably because I was. In addition to the two HUGE suitcases we hauled halfway around the world, there were three HUGE boxes filled with Christmas booty. (Clearly I've been watching way too much JAKE AND THE NEVERLAND PIRATES.) Now that the everything has returned to normal/semi normal, I can maybe - just maybe - find a little time to return to this space. If Baby Girl lets me. She's entering a clingy phase.
Last week I finally replaced my red Hunter boots with a pair of standard black ones. I left the red ones behind in a London hotel room because it was raining and I needed them the day we moved out of our little cottage in Greenwich, but they were too big to pack into my already full suitcase. Last winter I bought a pair of warm "water resistant" boots to tackle snowy winter days here and they work like a charm, but I needed something I could wear on rainy summer days, too, so I caved and bought them. Yea! for dry feet!
I stayed up way past my bedtime last night to watch the Super Bowl. Actually I stayed up to watch the Beyonce and she did not disappoint. Wow. I mean. Wow. She is such a little crazy ball of amazing performer. I am always entertained and in awe of her energy. She brings It every. time. and last night she killed it. Truly, Beyonce is the new King of pop.

I keep telling Jon that i need a pair of Hunters but according to him my cheapo supermarket wells do the job just fine - humph! ;-)
ReplyDeleteWe watch a lot of Jake too, and when we're not watching it we're listening to the soundtrack which is one of the better kiddo soundtracks!
I had a pair of cheaper rubber boots the first year we were in Denmark and they didn't make it through one winter. So I figure I can buy new wellies every year or I can buy a good pair that will last 5 years. At least, that's the argument I made to The Boy (and a little to myself, too). :)
DeleteThe Jake soundtrack does pretty much rock. I think my favorite song is the one about hot lava. Sharky and Bones are actually quite talented and entertaining.
