Last night as I sat staring at my blank computer screen and its blinking cursor I felt completely overwhelmed. Wow. It's May. MAY! How did that happen? I think this just might be my most favourite time of the year. It's warm out but not hot. (Well, not here, anyway.) All those April showers have cleared off leaving everything green and blooming and the world just seems to wake up with all the sunshine. Everything seems to be busy cleaning and nesting and getting ready for something. We're no exception. May is a month of celebration for us: Mother's Day, The Boy's birthday, our (4th 2nd) anniversary, my mom's birthday, Memorial Day and, possibly, a new baby. It's a lot but it's that last one that I'm a little overwhelmed by at the moment. I'm excited (We finally get to meet our new little one!) and nervous ( How will The Babe react to this little invader?) and scared. (Giving birth is rarely "easy", but it gets complicated when you do it in a foreign country and even more complicated when you don't speak the primary language.) I was thinking too much to write a post so instead I decided to do a little surfing. That's when I stumbled across Elise Blaha, her awesome blog, EnJOY It, and her goal's for May.
I love the idea of creating a monthly list of things I would like to focus on. 30 days seems less daunting somehow than 365. Besides, in that moment I couldn't come up with a post, but I could think of a list. Baby steps, after all.

Thank you, Elise, for the inspiration!

I have also been working on a new about me section. Perhaps we should talk about that. :)
